Angus Daye
Angus Daye is Hydroponic Music’s resident Dr Funkenstein. Well remembered for his days behind
the counter at the legendary Dr Robert’s record
shop, Angus was the spiritual adviser to the Belfast faithful – including a young David Holmes – on
their music purchases over the years.
On one occasion, when The Fall’s Mark E Smith refused to appear onstage with his band, Angus was called in as external mediator. The show was promptly abandoned.
