Explosion Sound System is Northern Ireland’s
premier reggae collective. Currently based in Belfast, the Explosion Massive
have become synonymous with reggae music in the
city – a bass heavy tour de force whose animated
sound system shenanigans have caused near structural damage to practically every leading venue in the city. |

Selector support comes in the form of Explosion MCs KROW & KAT – it’s boy versus girl and microphones set to stun as the vocal tag team toast, sing, wind and grind alongside the most crucial riddims known to man.
Support slots alongside global luminaries such as Lee Scratch Perry, Mikey Dread, Dennis Al Capone, Don Letts and The Mad Professor have come thick and fast, whilst headline shows have sold out in record time. in addition to festival and club appearances for the likes of Manchester heavyweights Blood & Fire Records. A recent collaboration with Black Uhuru’s legendary front man Michael Rose, imminent studio collaborations and a string of bookings at Belfast’s prestigious Empire Music Hall sees the Explosion Sound System tighten up for 2008 in consummate style – “who can mash the dance down? Explosion!” |
