Hydroponic Music

Hydroponic Music was established in 1998 to provide quality underground music to the people of Belfast and beyond.

Nearly a decade later, Hydroponic nights have defiled the notional blueprint of many formulaic music events, crossing genres from underground dance to roots reggae and seminal soul to classic rock n roll.

High profile guest appearances from the likes of Primal Scream, Andy Weatherall, Shaun Ryder, Afrika Bambaatta, Howard Marks and Trojan Records (to name a few) have rubber stamped Hydroponic Music’s underground kudos, while a glut of talented local jocks have provided bass busting DJ sets and jaw dropping live performances.

Artists from the Hydroponic Music roster also make regular appearances at music events around the country, including performances in London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
