Following their storming appearance at July's TRANS Festival, Belfast based Reggae Sound System Hydroponic Hi-Fi get set for their next appearance at Raggamuffin Social - a new monthly reggae night taking place in Spring & Airbrake, Belfast.
The bass heavy outfit features Selectors Michael McKeown (Hydroponic Music / The Meat Market) & Angus Daye (Vital Organs) alongside Hi-Fi front man / lead vocalist MC Krow, silver tongued sparring partner MC Kat, and resident percussionist Ganesh Kumbla.
In a relatively short space of time, the Hi-Fi crew have rocked stages across Ireland, supporting the likes of Blood & Fire Sound System, A Guy Called Gerald, Trojan Sound System, The Rootsman, Asian Dub Foundation, and Afrikaa Bambaataa, to name a few.
More recently, they have headlined sold out performances at venues across Northern Ireland including Crescent Arts Centre, Queen's University SU, Black Box, and the Empire Music Hall.
Further appearances at the Solas and Inishfox Festivals have cemented their fanbase on a National scale, with forthcoming recording sessions signaling exciting times ahead.
The Hi-Fi crew promise a rollercoaster soundclash through a broad spectrum of Jamaican flavours - dub to dancehall and roots to rocksteady, with a sprinkling of ska for good measure.
